AWANA

The AWANA program offers numerous benefits to children and youth, promoting their spiritual, intellectual, and personal development.

  • Cubbies is for children Pre-K and K.
  • Sparks is for children in the 1st and 2nd grades.
  • T&T is for children in the 3rd through 6th grades.

After graduation from the 6th grade, these children will advance to the Youth Ministry as students.

Some of the key advantages of the AWANAs program include:

    1. Spiritual Growth: AWANA emphasizes Scripture memorization and study, helping children and youth develop a strong foundation in their faith. Through engaging activities and lessons, participants deepen their understanding of spiritual principles and develop a personal relationship with their beliefs.

    1. Biblical Knowledge: The program encourages children to learn and internalize the teachings of their faith. By memorizing and studying verses from religious texts, young participants gain a comprehensive knowledge of their beliefs, providing them with a solid biblical foundation.

    1. Positive Values and Character Building: AWANA focuses on character development, promoting positive values such as honesty, integrity, kindness, and compassion. These virtues help shape children’s character, fostering a sense of responsibility and respect towards others.

    1. Personal Confidence: Through participation in AWANA’s games, competitions, and public speaking opportunities, children and youth build self-confidence and communication skills. They become more comfortable expressing their thoughts and beliefs, both within the program and in various social settings.

    1. Sense of Belonging: AWANA offers a welcoming and inclusive environment where children and youth can form meaningful connections with peers who share similar beliefs. This sense of belonging fosters a supportive community that can positively impact their lives.

    1. Youth Leadership Development: As children progress through AWANA, they have the opportunity to take on leadership roles. This experience nurtures their leadership abilities, teaching them responsibility, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

    1. Academic Benefits: AWANA’s focus on memorization and study can extend to other areas of learning. Children often experience improved memory, concentration, and critical thinking skills that can be beneficial in academic settings.

    1. Fun and Engaging Activities: AWANA’s interactive games, challenges, and events make the learning process enjoyable and memorable for children and youth. This approach fosters a love for learning and a positive attitude towards their faith.

    1. Family Involvement: AWANA encourages family participation, providing opportunities for parents and guardians to engage with their children’s spiritual growth. This involvement strengthens family bonds and reinforces the values taught in the program.

    1. Long-Term Spiritual Impact: The lessons and experiences gained through AWANA can have a lasting impact on children and youth, influencing their spiritual journey well into adulthood and fostering a lifelong commitment to their faith.

In summary, the AWANA program provides children and youth with a nurturing environment to grow spiritually, intellectually, and personally. Through its engaging and supportive approach, AWANA instills positive values, fosters leadership skills, and creates a sense of belonging, leaving a lasting and positive impact on the lives of its participants.
